From The Bench...Covers, Anyone?
Does anyone know where to get a piano bench cover, or where to find a sewing pattern for one? For some reason, the finish on my bench seems to adopt the imprint of the fabric grain of whoever is playing. Not sure if this has to do with humidity or what, but I think it would be nice to have a bench cover. Do any of you have bench covers, and if so, where did you get them? Suggestions are appreciated! :)

My Mother-in-Law made a patchwork cover for my piano seat. It appears to be attached to the seat with giant staples. It certainly is unique and my students love it. :D
My mother sewed me one that is very much like this one. Don't think she actually used a pattern, though.

Thanks for following at The Piano Studio!
Di, I'd love to see a picture of that cover- sounds neat!
Laura, I will check out that link! I do sew, so I'm thinking I could attempt to make one just by measurements.
Thanks, Girls, for your ideas!
I have a pad on my piano bench, and I sewed two elastic bands on it to help keep it in place.
Here's a picture of what I've done: http://instagr.am/p/FFKUW/
Hmm, that gives me a better idea of how to make one. I checked out that other website and they look really nice, but seem pretty pricey. I may see if I can make it cheaper.
Thanks for the pic!
Glad to be a help!
